4:40pm EDT

Panel: Social Impact in Art & Creative Tech : Creating Unity across Borders
We can argue that the greatest social need and impact right now is creating unity across borders fighting negative & inaccurate stereotypes and falsehoods. This discussion will focus on how creative technologists and those that represent them are uniquely positioned inspire and help mobilize others for change. We will explore: Whether art is the catalyst that pushes people to take action or is it actually only the inspiration? How can creative technologists and artists build engagement with disparate communities across borders and here at home?

We will be discussing this topic with Lisa Godwin, Creative Technologist at the New York Times; Kevin Stanton, a Strategist with Spring Studios; Catinca Tabacaru, Owner of Catinca Tabacaru Gallery; Sundar Raman, Director of Creative Engineering, Local Projects; and L’Rai Arthur-Mensah, a project manager with Local Projects.
