Virtual Light is an artistic project in protest to current Immigration policies, using one of the most contemporary artistic expressions of our times, Virtual Art. Art has often been used to shine light on questions of humanity and Miguel Angel Mayal reclaims this fundamental aspect of art in this project. Using it as a method to reflect on a social issue that is unjustly hurting many people.

The work will be staged inside St. Peter's Lutheran Church in collaboration with the Coalición del Nuevo Movimiento Santuario, in support of those seeking protection from current immigration reforms. Here the general public can don VR headsets and immerse themselves in a Virtual Mass (created using the Tilt Brush application supported by HTC Vive). The essence of this virtual piece is the union of individuals in a symbolic act of prayer and humanity. Because the use of Force without consciousness nor spirituality, lacks humanity. And because without Humanity, Justice is unbalanced.
