Computational Aesthetics - Creating Your First Generative Art Work

Can computer think, imagine, and create? In this workshop, you will learn basic principles of Generative Art, and learn to use simple computer functions to create your own generative art, similar to the background image on this poster.

This workshop is a partnership between Creative Tech Week (CTW2017), and the Creative Technology Curriculum(CTC) initiative in the Art and Art Education Program at Teachers College, Columbia University. It is taught by CTC Fellow, artist and educator Zhenzhen Qi.

No prior computational art background is required. Please bring a laptop. The workshop is free to public.
