Through the lens of biology, material technology and computation, Annellie Koller seeks to develop a new language of design. She is currently senior design researcher at the biotech startup, Modern Meadow,  the first company to attempt to grow sustainable animal-based materials in a lab. She is also senior event organizer of the Biofabricate conference that showcases the world of grown materials and design.  She further holds a part-time lecturing post at the Parsons School of Design and is an artist-in-residence at Eyebeam and the community lab Genspace. She holds an M.Arch degree from the University of Pretoria, South Africa and an MFA in Design and Technology from Parsons, New York.
